Your Voice Matters: Get Involved at BVA
Dear BVA Families,
We’re excited to invite families and community members to get more involved in the decision-making and leadership of Bay View Academy!
One opportunity is to serve on our School Site Council (SSC). The SSC plays an important role in our school’s decision-making process. The council has 10 voting members—5 parents/community members and 5 staff members—who work together to help determine how state and federal funds can best be used to support our students and school priorities.
The SSC generally meets about once a month. Once membership is established, the council will determine meeting days and times together.
Interested in serving on the SSC?
Please consider nominating yourself by writing your name in the signup on this post. Nominations are open through September 9th. If we receive more than five nominations for the available parent/community positions, we will hold an election and send out a ballot.

Hello BVA Community!

We currently have 3 family members interested, and we’re hoping to have 5 family/community representatives for a full SSC team.
