Dear BVA Families,
As we reach the end of a full and productive year, we’d like to share an important update with you. Our Leadership Team has been working hard to finalize the BVA Charter Renewal Petition for 2026-2031. We will present it at the Board Meeting on Wednesday, December 10th at 6:15 PM in the art room at the Upper School, and we warmly encourage you to join us in person or via Zoom (Meeting ID: 844 4695 9691, Password is BVA). Simultaneous Spanish interpretation will be available. A draft of the charter document can be found in agenda & packet linked here.

Once finalized, the petition will be submitted to Monterey County Office of Education (MCOE) in January, with an anticipated presentation to their board for approval in March.
Thank you for your continued support—your partnership means so much to our school community.

With appreciation,
The BVA Leadership Team

🍬 Gingerbread House Fun — Supplies Needed! 🍭

During the week of 12/15, our Upper School students will be making graham cracker gingerbread houses during Community Meeting! 🏠✨

Our 8th graders will partner with 6th, and 7th graders with 5th to help build stronger cross-community connections — with our older students stepping in as awesome mentors! 🤝💫

To make this sweet activity a success, we’re asking families to help donate supplies. 🍪🎄
If you can send in graham crackers, frosting, candies, or other fun decorations, please sign up using the link below. Your support makes these traditions magical for our students! ❄️❤️

Thanks so much for adding a little extra sparkle to our community! ✨
